Drive to Guayo's on the Trail near Globe

Our destination will be the great Mexican
restaurant we always enjoy; Guayo’s on the Trail near Globe AZ.
The address for your GPS is: 2251 AZ-188,
Globe, AZ 85501
We will meet at the front of the Target store
in Fountain Hills at the Shea Blvd and Saguaro Blvd crossing. There is a
Starbucks inside and restrooms if you arrive early and want to relax a
while.
Meeting time is 9:30 AM and we will
depart at 9:45 AM
Please bring your
club radio, a copy of this guide, your name
tag and have a full fuel tank at the start. No waiting for late
comers
On departure, we will take Hwy 87 North,
approximately 52 miles to the cutoff for Hwy 188 and turn east. It is
about 1 mile to Jake’s Corner where we will stop for a 20-minute comfort
break.
Continue east on Hwy 188 and follow it to
Roosevelt Lake, approximately 30 miles. We will stop at the Roosevelt
Lake Visitor Center for a while and then continue toward Guyao’s, which
is about 30 miles. You will see it on your left. Guayo's is on the east
side of the Highway, and is hard to miss.
After lunch you can get fuel if you need it,
on the main street in Globe (Main street is also Hwy 60). Most of us
will return the way we drove up. If it works best for you to take Hwy
60, I have already checked and the road will not be closed for bridge
construction on our tour date
