Howard Sobelman, our club Vice President, is originally from Brooklyn, New York. He graduated from NYC Community College with an Associate in Applied Science degree and in February of 1965 started working for Xerox Corporation on Wall Street.

Howard's first car was a new 1965 Ford Galaxy convertible that he worked on every weekend that he was not driving it. Remember FORD stood for Fix Or Repair Daily back in those days, or as the sales manager of the dealership where I purchased it corrected me; For Our Renowned Distinction.

He later applied for a transfer to Arizona and in August of 1973 moved to Phoenix. Howard met his wife Kathie while working for Xerox in Phoenix and they were married in April of 1989.

In 2000 he transferred to the Information Management division and spent the rest of his career helping sales people, across the country, set up their home virtual office including installing telephones, fax machines, internet connectivity, (DSL, cable, and satellite), wireless and wired routers and printers. Howard retired from Xerox in December of 2005.

Kathie now works for Canon Business Solutions as a Systems Trainer here in Phoenix.

In October of 2002 Howard purchased his first BMW, a bright red 2002 Z3 2.5 and joined our club. In May of 2004 he traded in the Z3 for a Maldives Blue Metallic Z4 3.0. The club has really made owing the roadsters very enjoyable and the friends made through the club are a real bonus.

In 2010 he sold his 2004 Z4 to his niece and purchased a Space Grey Metallic 2010 Z4 35i with the duel 7 speed clutch.

Howard's other interests include his grandchildren, photography, computers and anything electronic. He loves to help his friends and neighbors with their PC problems.
