The President and founder of the Arizona BMW Z Series Club is Paul Ebeyer [e-mail Paul by clicking here]. Paul lived in his native Chicago from 1936 until 1954, when he enlisted in the U.S. Navy as a Medical Corpsman. He served at the Naval Hospital, Portsmouth Va, and with the Marines at Camp Lejeune, NC. His last assignment was aboard the USS Hassayampa, a fleet tanker out of Pearl Harbor. After his discharge from the service, Paul moved to Arizona, where he worked in the medical fields until he entered the real estate business in 1962.

Paul is a summa cum laude graduate of the School of Hard Knocks and countless real estate educational programs, In July 2009, Paul retired from 43 years as a Real Estate professional and Owner/Broker of Ebeyer Realty, a residential real estate brokerage since 1976.

Paul's been married to the same wonderful lady, Carol, since 1961. Carol has been a career nurse since 1961; for 22 years she supervised the surgical department at St. Luke's Hospital, Phoenix, and is now retired from the health care industryt. Paul and Carol have two grown sons and two grandchildren.

They acquired their first sports car in 1961, a new Alfa Romeo Sprint Veloce, followed by two more new Alfas, a '65 2600 Spyder, and a '67 GTV Guilia. Paul was very active in the Alfa Owners Club during those years with autocross, club racing, touring etc. Paul is an avid follower of Formula One Racing since 1957, and loves anything with wheels and a motor. Paul has had the opportunity to drive a number of exotic and interesting cars over the years including a 1957 Mercedes Benz 300 SL Gullwing Coupe a number of Ferrari's and other exotics. Carol is also a fan of spirited driving.

Paul has owned 3 Z3's; a '97 2.8, a '98 ///M Roadster, and a '00 ///M Roadster - and currently drives an '07 ///M Roadster with major modifications, producing 500HP. Paul's interests include aviation (as a private pilot), shooting sports, photography, chess, and trying to prevent his aging body from getting any worse by doing a little exercise once in a while.
